The Quebec City Convention Center is adding 69,000 square feet of meeting and prefunction space. The facility currently has 100,000 square feet of exhibit space and 30 meeting rooms; when the project is completed in 2013, the center will have a total of 37 meeting rooms. "This expansion will give us a greater ability to accommodate visitors, which is the key to winning convention business," said P.-Michel Bouchard, the facility's CEO. "We can also host more events simultaneously and thus profit from the growing demand in the thriving meetings industry."
