Loopd has been selected as the winner of the #IMEXpitch competition, the second annual showcase of up-and-coming meetings technology companies held during IMEX America, which took place Oct. 13-15 in Las Vegas.
Loopd helps meeting participants exchange contact information and content, and allows organizers to gather rich engagement and traffic data through a wearable beacon badge and App. It works independently of Wi-Fi availability, which was a major factor in it being chosen by the panel of event technology industry experts, who judged all 26 entries, including live pitches from the top-five finalists.
The four other finalists were Brojure, a digital proposal and communications application for meeting planners; Lasso40, which captures e-signatures and electronically checks-in attendees at events; LiGo, a face-to-face networking tool that enables participants to meet the right people at events; and PheedLoop, an event-engagement tool that gathers actionable data and analytics. #IMEXpitch enables event technology start-ups to showcase their products at no cost to an audience of event professionals, while giving IMEX America attendees the opportunity to learn about new event technology products.
