Short Cuts:BETTER YET
Good Interview Answers
When the job market is tough, expect interview
questions to get tougher. Job seekers should come prepared with
smart responses to likely questions. Consider the following,
adapted from job site monster.com
(content.monster.com/jobinfo/interview/questions).
What do you know about our company? Having
thoroughly researched the firm in advance, give a brief summary,
and express an interest in learning more.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Describe at least three strengths, and relate them to the job in
question. Cite one minor weakness, but turn it into a positive
(“I’m a perfectionist&”).
Do you work well under pressure? “Yes, it is a
way of life in this business.”
Why haven’t you found a new position yet?
“Finding a job would be relatively easy; finding the right job is
more difficult. I’m looking for the right fit.”
