While most Vegas properties prefer to keep
their security low-key, Wynn Las Vegas’ crack patrol of
bomb-detecting dogs are celebrities. The K-9 crew six German
shepherds and two Labrador retrievers and their handlers are highly
visible in the resort’s public areas, including the casinos,
entrances and convention space. The dogs go on patrols and sniff
all incoming packages, baggage and cars left with valets.
These hard-working pooches, who respond only to commands in
German, live on property in a posh, climate-controlled, $500,000
kennel.
