Hosting an event in Kansas City, Mo., New York City or the the Twin Cities? These are among the 60 areas in the United States available on Vindigo (www.vindigo.com), which gives restaurant, movie, shopping, ATM and bathroom listings around town. The program can be downloaded to devices using both the Palm and Pocket PC operating systems, and on some cell phones.

The company now offers a trial version of the software for distribution at events, featuring restaurant and movie listings for the host city and branded with the meeting logo and ads. Attendees download Vindigo at beaming stations that can be set up in a booth, in kiosks on a trade show floor or in any other strategic location.

“This is something you can give out that’s long lasting; your branding is out there longer,” says Charles Oliva, Vindigo’s vice president of marketing.
