Short Cuts:
Give Us Your Tired, Your Jet-Lagged...
Comforts Far From Home

International travelers will find home-away-from-home comforts
awaiting them at the 485-room InterContinental Houston. Upon
check-in, guests are offered jet-lag recovery kits with
aromatherapy products and tips on how to overcome the wooziness.
Also on hand are packs of about US$25 in small denominations, which
can be billed to the guest’s room; included is a guide to local
tipping and customs.
The hotel also offers a selection of newspapers and
multilanguage TV programming from around the world, as well as
international power and phone jacks in sleeping rooms. Printers and
fax machines, guaranteed to be compatible with any equipment a
guest brings in, are available.
Best of all: Six Continents Club members and club-level guests
are entitled to a complimentary 15-minute massage. The property has
more than 50,000 square feet of meeting space.
