Now everyone can go into the pool
Disney Ramps Water Gap
Walt Disney World in Orlando recently made three of its resort
pools barrier-free. Instead of stairs, so-called zero-entry pools
have ramps that descend into the water, making them accessible to
those in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. The pools are
designed to look like beaches or lakefronts to give the ramp a
natural appearance, and they gradually deepen to a standard pool
depth, suitable for diving and other watery fun. These innovative
ramps are in place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s
Polynesian Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
