January 1999
Short Cuts:ETC.

about? Young & Rubicam Inc. surveyed 15- to 30-year-olds around
the world and found that their biggest fears, on a micro level, are
losing loved ones, death and aging. On a broader scale, they worry
about environmental hazards, terrorism and a widening rift between
socioeconomic classes. Their dreams: to find a life partner, have
children, accumulate wealth and material goods, and own a home.
Macau may soon be home to the first hotel in a

600-room hotel and conference center, opening in 2001.
