Need some otherworldly guidance?
Guests at Chateau Whistler in British Columbia can call the on-site
spa to arrange for an in-room tarot card reading (US$67). Other
intriguing spa services: a 90-minute mustard bath, followed by
traditional or shiatsu massage ($127); and the 90-minute anti-aging
facial ($104), with an optional breast-firming treatment ($27).
No backs: A number of major airlines
made all fares, including first, business and full Y, nonrefundable
for travel to some popular destinations between mid-December and
mid-January 2000. The carriers expect a lot of speculative bookings
due to millennium celebrations and travelers’ concerns over Y2K
problems.
