Meetings & Conventions: Short Cuts April 1998

April 1998
Short Cuts:ETC.
It seems money does buy happiness. Americans
with annual household incomes of more than $100,000 are more
satisfied than the general population with just about everything,
from the "moral code they live by,"to their marriages, friends and
jobs, reveals a survey by Roper Starch Worldwide for Town &
Country magazine.
Scribes take to the podium: The American
Society of Journalists and Authors has launched a free service
called WriteSpeakers, which matches planners with member authors
who are also seasoned presenters. Fees, ranging from $500 to
$5,000, are negotiated directly with the speakers. Call (973)
257-1851 or e-mail ASJA@compuserve.com.
