Meetings & Conventions: Short Cuts January 1999

January 1999
Short Cuts:FAST FORWARD
Having an attendee database online puts a planner on the cutting
edge of meetings technology, but what if you can’t set it up
yourself? Cardinal Communications of Berkeley, Calif., has a Web
site with the tools for you to capture online registrations in a
secure, easy-to-use environment. Planners enter meeting information
into forms, and the system automatically adds the event to a
central calendar and creates a miniWeb site and a registration form
for the event. Attendees complete the form online and receive
automatic confirmation. The registration data can be downloaded
into planners’ computers and then imported into their
meeting-management software or other database.
RegWeb is available for $4,995 and includes the first year’s
site hosting, maintenance and upgrades. For a demonstration, go to
the RegWeb site (www.regweb.com); for more information,
call Cardinal at (888) 755-7075
