How often can you find a good bargain in the world of A/V? New
products tend to cost in the thousands a little steep for some
budgets. The Economy Plus Overhead Projector (EP1800), a quality
presentation tool that costs $199, provides some relief. The
machine, by St. Charles, Ill.-based Dukane, includes a
high-efficiency fan, so presentations can go on all day, and an
automatic thermal cutoff to prevent overheating. Another plus: The
EP1800 weighs only 14 pounds, so it’s easy to lug around. The
2,000-lumen output is nice and bright, and the rack-and-pinion
focus mechanism makes sure images show up clearly.
Dukane’s SunSplash line of overhead projectors also is
reasonably priced; the Starfire line is the company’s Rolls Royce
