Short Cuts:FAST FORWARD
Nothing makes an interminable plane ride longer than a bad
inflight movie. A palm-size solution is now available in the form
of Panasonic’s new DVD L10 digital video player, better known as
the PalmTheater. Flyers can bring slender movie discs aboard and
watch them on the 5.8-inch color LCD monitor, listening to the
virtual surround sound through built-in stereo speakers or
headphones.
The rechargeable battery pack lasts two hours, and the unit
weighs two pounds without the battery. Its full dimensions are
about six and a half inches square by about two inches wide.
The PalmTheater retails for $1,399.95 and is available at major
