Meetings & Conventions: Short Cuts April 1998

April 1998
Short Cuts:FAST FORWARD
Finally, the stodgy laptop case
goes business casual. JanSport, a leading backpack maker, has
designed two bags specifically for computers: the Laptop Transit
(available now) and the Bytepack (coming in July). These backpacks
make it easy to carry computer equipment on your back, easing neck
and shoulder aches (or freeing an arm for luggage and such).
The Bytepack offers two carrying options: day-pack straps or a
padded handle. Both bags have padded computer compartments. The
larger Transit offers lots of room for books, files and an extra
pair of socks. The Bytepack retails for $64.99 and the Laptop
Transit, $69.99.
For more information, contact JanSport at (800) 5 JANSPORT or
access the company's Web site (www.jansport.com).
