Short Cuts:First-Class for Fido
Companion Air (www.companionair.com), the brainchild of pet lovers Rick
and Diana Roof, is a Boca Raton, Fla.-based charter carrier that
will take pet travel to a new level. Bipeds will board with their
furry friends, stow them in designated kennels and visit them
during the flight. And there are privileges to be had for the
well-behaved canine: a tour of the cabin and a reassuring visit
with that significant other. All decisions for visitation rights
will rest purely with the cabin attendant. Every pet, however, is
treated to pre-ordered inflight crunchies. Flights are set to begin
in May.
