Fairmont Offers a Temporary Best Friend
Go Ahead, Walk Our Dog
Missing Fido? Dog lovers staying at the 489-room Fairmont
Waterfront in Vancouver can borrow Morgan, the resident black
Labrador retriever, free of charge. Primary duties of the hotel’s
new staff member include issuing warm greetings outside the front
lobby and accompanying guests on strolls of the neighborhood.
Dog walkers are equipped with a handy “puppy pack,” complete
with fresh drinking water, treats and a plastic bag (just in
case).
Morgan is on duty weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with two
nap breaks, and is housed overnight in the luxurious Puppy
Penthouse just outside the hotel’s front entrance. On weekends, he
retreats to the loving home of one of the Fairmont’s sales
representatives.
