Hilton Hotels Corp. plans to move its global headquarters from Beverly Hills, Calif., to Fairfax County, Va., in the third quarter of this year. The move will create 300 new jobs in Fairfax, and Hilton will receive $4.6 million in incentives from the county.

Radisson Sas Hotels
in Europe, the Middle East and Africa are changing their name to Radisson Blu, said Rezidor, the brand's franchiser. The change represents the final break from SAS Group, former parent of Rezidor.

Omni Hotels has launched a "zero attrition initiative," allowing planners to book meetings without concern about falling short on room blocks or food-and-beverage minimums. The attrition clause will be waived for contracts signed before June 30 for meetings held in 2009. Groups with up to 150 rooms on peak night automatically qualify.

A State Audit of the Hawaii Tourism Authority and its contractors, which include the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, faulted the agency for lacking a long-term strategy for expanding Hawaii's tourism industry. The HTA said it is addressing the audit's findings.
