The San Diego convention center corp.
has secured an adjacent six acres for a major expansion of the facility. The addition, to open in 2015 at a cost of $752.7 million, will add 200,000 square feet of exhibit space, 100,000 square feet of meeting rooms and 80,000 square feet of ballroom space.

Now Open in L.A. are the 123-room Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles, and the 878-room JW Marriott Los Angeles. Both are part of the new $2.5 billion downtown sports, entertainment and hotel district known as L.A. Live.
