Why do most computers’ sound systems sound so awful? Good news:
Harman Multimedia’s SoundSticks break the
bad-sound barrier and they are as attractive to the eyes as they
are to the ears. The three-piece system comprises two 10-watt
satellite speakers and a 20-watt iSub subwoofer. The hardware
provides high-quality sound for MP3s, CDs, DVDs and games.
SoundSticks are optimized for use with USB-equipped Apple
computers, such as iMac, iBook, G3 and G4, running OS 9.0.4 or
later. Available for $199 at the Apple store (www.apple.com). For product
details, go to www.harmanmultimedia.com.
