The grand 272-room Renaissance
Providence (R.I.) Hotel opened this past May inside a former
Masonic temple that sat empty for decades. It is the latest in a
string of converted Masonic properties, including the 250-room
Hilton New Orleans/St. Charles Avenue; the Tremont Grand in
Baltimore, a meeting and event facility; and the Masonic, a theater
and event venue in Detroit.
