Semper Fi: Business Leadership
the Marine Corps Way"
In 1998, ex-Marines Rod Walsh and Dan Carrison wrote Semper
Fi: Business Leadership the Marine Corps Way. The book took
off, and Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based Semper Fi Consulting was born.
Walsh and Carrison now lecture, very successfully, to such clients
as UPS and Bertucci's about Marine-forged methods of leadership.
Walsh says their inspiration came from the places they worked after
becoming civilians. "We'd think, 'This place would be better if it
adopted some of the policies the Marines employ.' They are
