Cuts:On the SpotWhat city drew your largest convention attendance?“Houston. Our 1999 convention was up 25 percent. The
main reason was that we lowered registration fees that year. The
fees stayed the same in 2000 and 2001, but Houston remains our
highest attendance.”

“Our trip in 2000 to the Baltics Stockholm, Copenhagen,
Helsinki, Warsaw was the biggest success. Every social and
educational event on that trip was full. We also put on financial
seminars in New York City, and attendance there is always

“Our 1996 convention in Lake Guntersville, Ala. The
location was different and easy to reach. Our members fly to the
conventions in their Cessna 170s, which were built from the
mid-’40s to mid-’50s. This year we are going to Las Vegas, and we
expect good numbers.”
