Short
Cuts:On the SpotWhen you find time to exercise during your meeting, what is
your sport of choice?“Golf, but I play it badly. Unfortunately, I only get to
play a few times a year, so I go out there solely to enjoy myself.
My organization spends most of its time in the classroom, so it is
really great to get out there and swing your clubs once in a
while.”
Chuck Potter
Meetings Manager
American Animal Hospital Association
Lakewood, Colo.
“I don’t exercise at all, even though my association
certifies most water-related classes in YMCAs and the like across
the country. During an event, I am up and on the go from 6 a.m.
until goodness knows when, and I find that is exercise
enough.”
Donna Blackmon
Special Events Coordinator
Aquatic Exercise Association
Nokomis, Fla.
“With my job, I am learning to love baseball more and more.
But I love to go aerobic dancing, which is a type of high-energy
dancing and quite strenuous.”
Betty Rulong
Assistant Director
American Baseball Coaches Association
Mount Pleasant, Mich.
