Horst Schulze, founder of the Ritz-Carlton
hotel chain, knows something about luxury and he’s putting that
knowledge to use in a new brand, Solís Hotels and Resorts.
Solís will be developed and managed by the Atlanta-based West
Paces Hotel Group, of which Schulze serves as president and CEO.
Properties will range from luxury resorts to urban enclaves and
will “embody a core philosophy of exceptional, caring service,”
according to Schulze.
First up will be the 454-room Solís Chicago, to debut in late
spring 2006, followed by five more properties by the end of 2008.
All of the hotels will include meeting space and a number of
dedicated residential units.
