“Sexiest Chef Alive”
They host wildly popular

culinary fans. Now these superstar chefs -- moguls? -- are dishing
up their delights at new and soon-to-open U.S. hotel
restaurants.
Dubbed the “father of Southwestern
cuisine,” Kentucky-born chef Dean Fearing heads up
all the dining options at the Ritz-Carlton, Dallas (www.ritzcarlton.com), which opened in 2007. Among
signature dishes: maple and black peppercorn-soaked buffalo
tenderloin with a crispy butternut squash taco.
Chef Tyler Florence,
who hosts three Food Network shows and was named the “Sexiest Chef
Alive” by People magazine, will open his first restaurant
in San Francisco’s Hotel Vertigo (currently the York Hotel) this
summer.
Alain Ducasse, the
only chef to have restaurants in three different countries each
receive three Michelin stars, will open a new high-tech,
wine-themed signature restaurant, Adour, this month at The St.
Regis Hotel, New York (www.starwoodhotels.com). Named for the river in
southwestern France where Ducasse grew up, Adour will feature
fresh, elegant cuisine and a wine bar with an interactive wine list
projected from overhead.
British import Gordon
Ramsay’s first U.S. restaurant, Gordon Ramsay at The
London hotel (www.thelondonnyc.com), already has earned two Michelin
stars. Menu highlights include oven-roasted foie gras and pan-fried
fillets of red mullet with fennel puree.
