Don’t reach for your wet suit just
yet, but Freeport, Maine-based outdoor retailer L.L. Bean is adding
meeting space for up to 150 people at its Coastal Outdoor Center,
where it currently runs paddling schools for kayak and canoe
enthusiasts of all skill levels. The new facility should be open
sometime next year.
L.L. Bean creates custom outdoor
adventures for groups (www.llbean.com/ods), including any combination of
biking, hiking, fly-fishing, paddling, geocaching, wing shooting
and archery, among others. Day trips or overnight excursions
throughout the Northeast can be planned.
