Change for the better. The Meetings Industry
Mall (www.mim.com)
has changed its look and jumped to a new level of functionality.
The site's job board is now run by the Meeting Candidate Network;
those looking for a new position can fill out a free résumé form,
which is immediately posted. Employers can post job openings for
$50 each. Also updated: the Newscenter, which hones in on industry
news from four search engines.
Comparison shopping. When it's time to make a
major purchase from cars to computers Consumer Reports (www.consumerreports.org) can always help. On the Web
site, several articles are available for free, but unlimited access
to the wealth of comparative information costs $2.95 a month (or
$24 a year an $11 savings).
Web marriage. Preview Travel (www.previewtravel.com), a comprehensive reservations and
travel site, has teamed up with Fodor's Travel Publications to
offer guides for 87 cities. The site also has added a travel
newswire focusing on low fares and travel specials, and a business
travel center.
