Consolidating online RFPs. A new service from Newmarket International aims to smooth the online RFP process. MeetingBroker.com (www.meetingbroker.com) takes RFPs posted on partner sites StarCite (www.starcite.com), Hot Dates Hot Rates (www.hdhr.com), Plan It Online (www.planitonline.com) and BusinessMeetings.com (www.businessmeetings.com), and deposits the requests into various versions of Delphi and Breeze, Newmarket's property-management systems that are used at thousands of hotels, convention centers and other venues. This eliminates the need for properties to rekey data and should make it easier for them to evaluate the business and respond quickly. The service is paid for by hoteliers. MeetingBroker.com plans to offer other services, such as two-way communication between planners and convention services staff.
