Gloria Matarazzo, CMP, always makes time for the desert when
business brings her to Las Vegas. "I once stayed overnight in Death
Valley, and I remember how wonderful it felt to look as far as the
eye could see and not see another human being." Matarazzo, national
conference and events manager for the Foundation Fighting Blindness
in Hunt Valley, Md., says, "The desert remains one of my favorite
places. Others think of gambling when they think of Las Vegas; I
think of all the natural beauty that surrounds it."
