The German Convention Bureau released its annual Meeting and Event Barometer yesterday. Among the findings:
- The number of events grew to 2.97 million, a 9.2 percent more than in 2011.
- 362 million people attended meetings and events in Germany last year, an increase of 7.2 percent over 2011 figures.
- Germany had a total of 6,939 event venues in 2012, an increase of 4.9 percent over inventory in 2011.
