My Favorite Inspiring Muhammad Ali Quote

"Impossible" is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing." – Muhammad Ali

I named my company after Don Quixote, the man who dreamed the impossible dream. What is impossible? I think of Roger Bannister, the man who broke the four-minute barrier for running the mile. That was impossible. Then after he showed it was possible, multiple runners also broke that "impossible" barrier. It was no longer impossible for them, either.

We can either live in the world we've been given without hope of change, or we can dream impossible dreams and work toward that change. Whether we see success or not is not as important as persisting at a better world.

So what feels impossible? A loving relationship, a relaxed community, an interesting meeting, losing weight, getting enough sleep, cleaning the house, a happy family, a health body, a reversal of climate change, a political process we can believe in?

Whether or not we change the world, we'll be changed internally with our loving attempts to be better people. As Ali said, impossible is potential. Here's to your potential coming to life, to your impossible dreams.
