Short Cuts:WEB SITES WE LIKE
It's my party. Sometimes work is so
overwhelming, trying to plan a social event for yourself seems
impossible. Let Evite.com (www.evite.com), a free service, ease the
task. The Web site takes care of invitations for business functions
as well. Just set up an account, create an event, design the
invitation and write up a guest list. The result is a private-event
Web page where guests go to respond and comment. Evite.com can
import addresses from many sources, including Palm Desktop,
Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express, Netscape, Eudora Light,
Yahoo, Excite, Hotmail and Lycos/MailCity. The site also manages
all the RSVPs.
Speedy site selection. Site Search 2000 (www.sitesearch2000.com) is a
straightforward Web-based request for proposal. To use the free
service, just fill out all the meeting's details and click "find
facility."
