According to HotelierMiddleEast, Hyatt Hotels Corp., which has 10 properties in the Middle East, has announced a contract with Tamdeen Group to develop a 261-room Grand Hyatt hotel in Kuwait, the first Grand Hyatt in that country.
The property, which is expected to open in 2020, will be an integral part of 360 Mall, a development project that integrates retail, entertainment and leisure attractions. The new property will be the fifth Grand Hyatt hotel in the region.

"Kuwait has increasingly become a major gateway city, so we are delighted to announce this plan to bring the Grand Hyatt brand to the country," said Peter Norman, senior vice president, acquisitions and development, for Hyatt in Europe, Africa and Middle East in announcing the project.
