The Carneros Inn, a PlumpJack Resort a few miles southwest of Napa, Calif., will reveal $6.5 million in renovations by March 31. Set to debut are a revamped wedding venue, a family pool, a refreshed reception area and updated cottages. In total, the 27-acre property offers 86 cottages and 10 suites.

A new reception building has been established near the property's acclaimed Farm restaurant, with a new porte cochere and outdoor seating. By June, the former guest reception area, which is near the Hilltop Dining Room, will be converted to two 500-square-foot owners' lounges and a boardroom.

The Wedding Garden will reveal a $1 million makeover, with new features such as a planted trellis; new exterior landscaping; and a drought-tolerant, heel-friendly turf. The venue offers panoramic views of the Napa Valley vineyards and mountains. The resort's family pool will debut a new elevated deck with a shade trellis as well as new luxury lounges and furniture.

The cottages, Hilltop pool and on-site gym also are in the midst of a $2.8 million renovation, with the first 40 cottages set to debut a new color design, bathroom fixtures, furniture, bedding, TVs and other amenities later this year. The second half of the cottages will be updated in 2017.
