The River Terrace Inn, a 114-room luxury hotel in Napa, Calif., has wrapped up a $5 million expansion and renovation project. The property, part of Noble House Hotels and Resorts, now has a renovated porte cochere, lobby and front desk; a new restaurant; and expanded guest rooms, fitness facilities, and meeting and event spaces.

Included in the expansion are six new luxury riverfront guest rooms and two suites, each featuring a fireplace, a patio and a separate shower and jetted bathtub. The hotel also removed its outdoor pool to make way for the River Walk Clearing outdoor event space (above), indicating an intensified focus on group business. Other new event-space options include a 1,400-square-foot ballroom that opens out onto the Napa River, as well as various outdoor breakout spaces.

An outdoor terrace serving the recently opened Alba restaurant now includes a full bar and fire pits, offering reception space or dinner and drinks right along the Napa River. Alba's kitchen was expanded as well, allowing the restaurant to handle high demand better.

In the lobby, the front desk was replaced with individual pods to streamline the check-in experience. The relocated fitness center is larger than its predecessor and offers new exercise equipment.

The hotel is less than an hour's drive from San Francisco and just a few minutes from a variety of wineries and vineyards in the Napa Valley.
