The 319-room Hotel Van Zandt, a Kimpton hotel, has opened in in Austin, Texas. The property's fourth-floor terrace features  cabanas, a pool and a bar overlooking Lady Bird Lake and downtown Austin.

The hotel is decorated with one-of-a-kind Texas accents, antiques and décor by designer Mark Zeff. The signature restaurant, called Geraldine's, serves Texas-inspired fare to be accompanied by specialty drinks. The spot doubles as an entertainment venue featuring up-and-coming acts in a variety of entertainment genres, curated by Lauren Bucherie, the hotel's director of music and social programming. Café 605 sells grab-and-go food and sundries, such as breakfast tacos, local music CDs T-shirts and posters. For events, the property offers 12,000 square feet of meeting space.
"We are excited to share our fun-spirited service and Texas Hill Country-inspired design with the Austin community and our guests," said Joe Pagone, general manager of the hotel. "We believe that when people step into Hotel Van Zandt they will feel at home while at the same time getting a true Austin experience."
