The Los Cabos Convention Center will debut at the beginning of next week, when it hosts the G20 Summit in southern Baja Calfornia, Mexico. The region's first convention center is in San Jos√© del Cabo, near the international airport and adjacent to the private golf community, Club Campestre San Jos√©. The project represents investments of US$100 million from Mexico's federal government, US$1.5 million from the state of Baja California Sur and nearly US$1 million from the Los Cabos Tourism Board. The 653,400-square-foot venue can accommodate up to 6,400 attendees and features environmentally sustainable elements such as more than 1,000 solar panels and a storm tank to capture rainwater for landscaping use.
