IACC, formerly known as the International Association of Conference Center, has welcomed its first Las Vegas Strip member, Park MGM's Ideation Studio and Madison Meeting Center. IACC represents more than 300 members in over 26 countries.
"The IACC certification distinguishes the Meeting Center at Park MGM among the best-in-class meeting venues in the world, and recognizes that our work spaces achieve IACC's stringent global standards," said Shelly Cruz, vice president of sales for the Las Vegas property. "We thoughtfully developed interactive, collaborative spaces using research and science as a design guide to generate greater conversation, creativity and results that maximize our groups' time."

Part of Park MGM's more than 77,000 square feet of meeting space, the 10,000-square-foot Madison Meeting Center caters to groups of from 10 to 50 people. One of IACC's designated Executive Meetings Centers, the space comprises 10 flexible rooms and two self-service lounges; features include moveable ergonomic furniture with integrated power outlets. The center's IACC-styled Daily Meeting Package means all-inclusive pricing, which allows meeting planners to pay a flat rate per attendee, providing convenience and cost efficiency.

The 7,000-square-foot Ideation Studio, which opened this month, offers Cisco Webex Boards and Cisco Webex Teams. The technology provides teams with a virtual meeting space as well as messaging, file-sharing, whiteboarding and video-calling capabilities. Other elements in the Ideation Studio are based on behavioral science and how people interact with their environments. Chair and table height, lighting, flooring and room configurations were selected to enhance engagement and include four distinct layouts and 10 rooms for groups of from six to 24.

"The designs of Park MGM's Madison Meeting Center and Ideation Studio have taken into consideration many of the trends and preferences from meeting planners that IACC has identified through its research," said Mark Cooper, IACC's CEO. "The Park MGM leadership team has poured so much dedication and passion into developing a haven for small meetings, and we look forward to bringing our own events to these inspiring meeting spaces in the future."

With 80 percent of MGM Resorts' group business involving 100 guest rooms or fewer, the Madison Meeting Center and Ideation Studio reflect the company's focus on providing choices for small gatherings.
