Event app provider Guidebook released an open-application programming interface today and announced a number of integrations to popular event-registration, marketing-automation and customer relationship-management platforms. 
New out-of-the-box integrations include Salesforce and Eventbrite; Cvent, Etouches, MailChimp and Marketo will follow soon. Guidebook says the new functionality will be especially useful for its clients in the pharmaceutical, financial-services and technology industries.
 
"Mobile event apps can be the single most important tool to bring structure and insight to the unstructured happenings of an event," said Jeff Lewis, CEO and co-founder of Guidebook. "But too often, organizations lack the resources to efficiently capture and derive meaning from that data." Guidebook Integrations eases the process and makes Guidebook's app a more viable solution for companies seeking to make data-driven marketing and event decisions. The plug-and-play nature of the new integrations requires no additional developer resources, in keeping with Guidebook's low-cost model.
 
The open API and integration to Salesforce and Eventbrite are available immediately, at no additional charge to Guidebook customers.
