The royal wedding, Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Games are over, but the British capital has a host of new reasons for groups to cross the Atlantic.

On the hotel front, two notable debuts are the hip 157-room ME London, with 5,300 square feet of event space, and the luxe 159-room Cafe Royal, which serves up sumptuous afternoon tea and has seven meeting rooms that will debut next month.

Groups can take in East London's vibrant street art scene with a guided tour, then enjoy a meal in Tram Shed, the trendy restaurant that features beef and fowl dishes. The eatery's Damien Hirst cow installation is a must-see.
