Daytona Beach, Fla.

The racing-themed property The Daytona offers sports memorabilia and memorable event spaces.

Fast cars on a hard sand beach put Daytona on the map in the 1940s. Racing moved to Daytona International Speedway in 1959, where the first Daytona 500 took place on Feb. 22 in front of a crowd of over 41,000.

Sixty years later, the speedway is a 500-acre complex and home to the Motorsports Hall of Fame and Museum.

The Daytona, a Marriott Autograph Collection property, debuted this spring within the One Daytona complex, half a mile from the speedway, just a mile from Daytona Beach International Airport and 4 miles from the ocean.

The racing-themed property, which sports memorabilia from the museum, offers 2,400 square feet of meeting space plus another 10,000 square feet for indoor/outdoor events.
