Brandt Hospitality Group, a hotel development and management company based in Fargo, N.D., has opened the AC Hotel by Marriott Portland Beaverton in Oregon. In the heart of the Pacific Northwest Wine Country and Silicon Forest, the 117-room property is steps from Nike World Headquarters and 20 minutes from downtown Portland.
The king and double-queen guest rooms are bright and light-filled. The property's signature AC Lounge features craft cocktails, local beers and a sophisticated wine program, which accompany a menu of tapas-style small bites. The light-filled AC Kitchen is open for breakfast daily, with choices such as freshly sliced prosciutto, specialty cheeses and croissants imported from France.
Other amenities include 1,250 square feet of meeting space, an indoor swimming pool and a well-equipped fitness center. The hotel also includes the signature AC Library, an open space designed for individuals or small groups to study, think and connect.
Nearby fun can be found at the Oregon Zoo; a massive, three-floor Topgolf facility with more than 100 all-weather bays; and the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course for tournaments. Opening this spring is the Patricia Reser Center for the Arts, which will present a variety of touring programs, professional performances and more. In addition to the 555-seat theater, the venue will also have space for meetings and special events.
