A $180 million upgrade has been completed at the Gila River Hotels & Casinos – Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, Ariz., adding the new, 205-room Sunrise tower.

The construction took advantage of the downtime afforded by the pandemic, breaking ground in August 2020. The new, 11-story Sunrise tower is connected to the Sunset tower, bringing the property's room total to 447.

The renovated lobby entrance now features a new chandelier above the arrival area's bucking horse sculpture, and diverse artworks from Gila River Indian Community artists are now lining the walls.

The resort also has enhanced its outdoor offerings with two new pools, the Oasis Pool and the Serenity Adult Pool. In addition, the property now features 18,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and 7,000 square feet of outdoor event space.

Upgrading the dining and nightlife was a key component in the project. A glass elevator now brings guests up to the rooftop, where Prime Shula’s Steak House serves dishes crafted by "Chopped" champion Demetrio Zavala. While dining, guests will enjoy views of the Estrella Mountains and Arizona sunsets. After dinner, the venue transitions into 11ven at Prime, known for craft cocktails and lively deejays.
