The Grand View Restaurant at the Garden of the Gods Resort and Spa
The 117-room Garden of the Gods Resort and Club in Colorado Springs, Colo., has completed an extensive $40 million renovation to all accommodations, the four dining venues, the destination Strata spa and the more than 22,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
“Really what we’re doing is continuing to build our legacy,” said Brenda Smith, co-owner of the resort. “This place has always been a beloved escape from reality, where relaxation and revitalization are possible. Now, we’re pleased to introduce a refreshed version of the Rocky Mountain paradise that will delight generations to come.”
The resort's new interiors celebrate the surrounding mountains and incorporate natural materials. In the lodge rooms and suites, each with views of the red rocks–filled Garden of the Gods and the Rocky Mountains, earth tones and accents of light blues and greens aim to induce feelings of peace and serenity. The bathrooms have nearly doubled in size to include oversized showers, full-size soaking tubs and modern vanities for a spa-like atmosphere. The cottages and casitas, ranging from one- to three-bedroom layouts, offer a more residential and secluded experience ideal for small groups.
While all dining venues and bars experienced upgrades, the Grand View Restaurant, with unparalleled views of the Garden of the Gods rock formations, was completely transformed. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer a dining experience enriched and enveloped by nature.
The Garden of the Gods Resort and Club features 12,000 square feet of indoor meeting space spread across seven function rooms. Outside, four terraces add up to 10,000 square feet of event space. A variety of experiential and wellness packages are available for groups, such as guided hikes, yoga and meditation sessions at the base of Garden of the Gods, and more.
Other resort activities include golf at a 27-hole championship course; tennis on two outdoor and four indoor courts; three outdoor pools; and weekly expert-led fitness classes. The 31,000-square-foot Strata Spa offers treatments from Ayurvedic rituals to hydration and sensory flotation experiences, and the on-site Strata Med handles cardiology visits, neuromuscular chiropractic care, mental health consultations and more.
