The Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center announced plans for a $30 million renovation beginning in February 2014. The project will include upgrades to 1,329 guest rooms, which are expected to take about a year to complete, and renovations to the hotel's 100,000 square feet of meeting space, which will begin in spring 2014 and conclude that fall.
