Two lifestyle hotels from Marriott will bring 347 more guest rooms to Austin, Texas, in 2019: the dual-branded AC Hotel Austin and the Otis Hotel, an Autograph Collection hotel. The properties, which will be on the southwest edge of the University of Texas at Austin's campus, is being developed by White Lodging, a hotel ownership, management and development company that is also currently the developer of the 613-room, full-service Marriott Hotel under construction downtown, adjacent to the Austin Convention Center.

"We remain bullish on Austin as it remains one of the most sought-after destinations in the United States, and are thrilled to be developing these two unique hotels adjacent to the world-class University of Texas and steps from downtown Austin," said Deno Yiankes, president and CEO of investments and development at White Lodging.

The design at the Otis Hotel will showcase Austin artists, the city's music culture and the university's Longhorn legacy. Guest rooms will include unique elements such as in-room record players allowing guests to select classic LPs from the hotel's vinyl library. The property will have a 4,000 square-foot rooftop deck with an outdoor pool, cabanas, a bar and an expansive terrace. The hotel also will offer a full-service restaurant and bar on the first level.

The AC Hotel Austin will feature the brand's European-inspired breakfast concept at AC Kitchen. Signature cocktails and tapas will be available at the AC Lounge on the second floor, which will have outdoor seating.

The hotels will share more than 7,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 3,480-square-foot ballroom and five smaller meeting rooms.

The full-service Austin Marriott Downtown will have 65,000 square feet of meeting, exhibit and entertainment space; an outdoor pool, bar and entertainment zone on the rooftop, and two bars and a full-service restaurant on the street level.
