The Hilton Cleveland Downtown officially opens today, offering 600 rooms and more than 50,000 square feet of meeting space alongside the Hunting Convention Center and the Global Center for Health Innovation. The headquarters property, which is the city's first Hilton, connects via underground walkway to the convention facility.
Among the guest rooms are 37 suites and four fitness guest rooms, each of the latter offering in-room yoga and/or cardio and strength equipment. An indoor pool and fitness center are on-site, as well as nine meeting rooms. The 20,778-square-foot grand ballroom has floor-to-ceiling window views of Lake Erie.
"Our downtown is experiencing a renaissance, and I can't wait for the world to see it," said Cuyahoga County executive Armond Budish. "Thanks to our community investments in the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, the Global Center for Health Innovation and now the Hilton Cleveland Downtown, we are attracting major events to downtown Cleveland and visitors from across the globe, increasing the economic impact for our residents and region."
The 32-story, Silver LEED-certified building has a modern industrial look. The signature restaurant, the Burnham, is led by local James Beard-nominee Zack Bruell and executive chef Maxime Kien. On the 32nd floor, Bar 32 provides a luxurious setting with panoramic views, and an additional bar and lounge offers communal workspace.
