Digital check-in and room selection capabilities are available at more than 4,100 Hilton Worldwide properties, spanning 11 brands globally. Members of the Hilton HHonors loyalty program now can check in before arriving and select their rooms based on floor plans or lists, using desktop computers, tablets or phones. Upgrades or special requests can be entered through the same platform. The ability to select a room via the digital platform is unique among major hotel brands. In 2015, Hilton will roll out its mobile key technology at four brands -- Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Canopy, Waldorf Astoria and Conrad -- allowing travelers to use their smartphones to open guest-room doors, as well as some facilities like the fitness room.
