Ireland’s Ashford Castle Reopens Following $75 Million Revamp

The 82-room Ashford Castle in Cong, Ireland, has reopened following a two-year, $75 million refurbishment. Included in the upgrades were guest rooms and public areas, all now featuring Wi-Fi,  and the addition of a 32-seat movie theater. The property has a school of falconry, an equestrian center, a nine-hole golf course, tennis courts and is the only Orvis-endorsed fishing property in Ireland. A new spa with five treatment rooms, an indoor pool and a gym will debut in July.
