The Kessler Collection celebrated the grand opening of the Grand Bohemian Lodge Greenville in mid-September. In the heart of the quaint city of Greenville, S.C., the new hotel has 187 rooms, 9,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and views of Falls Park and the waterfalls of Reedy River.
"As soon as I saw the location on the river I knew there was no question: This would be the site of the hotel," said Richard Kessler, chairman and CEO of the Kessler Collection. "We couldn't do a typical hotel, it's too precious of a site in this park. We had to do something special, and this is really an opportunity for us to add something beautiful for the community."
The property's restaurant, Between the Trees, is headed by Michelin-star chef Nicolas Abello. There is also Spirit and Bower, a cozy upscale bar featuring two fireplaces and a stone firepit for cooler Carolina evenings. Adding a touch of culture is $2 million worth of artwork, including an extensive collection of Native American and Western pieces, both in the Grand Bohemian Art Gallery and throughout the property.
Grand Bohemian Lodge is mere steps away from the breweries, boutiques and bustling art scene of downtown Greenville. "We look forward to introducing the luxurious Grand Bohemian Lodge to our beloved repeat and new guests alike in this emerging destination full of rich heritage," Kessler added.
